Tips + Tricks To Get The Most Out Of Black Friday 2020
As much as I love shopping + hunting down a good deal, I don’t loveeeee the “real Black Friday experience” as some might call it. The thought of getting up early to face the crowds + cold temperatures, is a no go for me . . . it only leaves me feeling anxious as heck. I will always op to stay home + shop online, especially this year with all the capacity restrictions.
I don’t know about you but in years past when the Black Friday deal went live, my anxiety levels went UP. I would have serious FOMO (fear of missing out) on a deal which led to over buy due to the pressure of the moment or on the other hand, wanting to throw up the tinsel all together + call it quits.
With so many deals + special shopping hours that it can overwhelming. So, to keep the joy of the season alive, I want to share a few tips + trick I use when shopping Black Friday sales . . .
1. Shop from your desktop if possible: when I shop off my phone, I feel more pressured to make in the moment purchases because its easier to lose your place or items you have sitting in your cart. When I shop off my desktop, I am able to be more intentional with my $$, since I can save my place + shop later.
2. Shop with intention!! I always have to ask myself 2 questions before hitting the purchase button “do I need this?” + “is this a gift for someone?” if the answer is no, it gets the boot.
3. Make your list before the sales are out: this has been one of the most helpful things for me when shopping, to avoid over spending or shopping. I always sit down a few weeks before + make a list of things I’m looking to snag + the people I am shopping for. I like to think of it like this . . . its like going to the grocery store hungry. When you don’t have a list, you end up buying the whole store because it all looks good in the moment, just to come home + find you already had that item. If I only had to give you one tip for shopping Black Friday, it would be to make your lists ahead of time.
4. Do your research: In addition to who + what I’m shopping for, I like to make a rough outline of where I am going to shop. Below are a few places + favorite deals happening this Black Friday.
