I debated + debated what to do for Jon’s big 30th birthday this year. I knew he wouldn’t care for an elaborate ol’ fuss, but hello, 30 years only rolls around once. I settled for a family camping surprise party stuffed inside of a toy-hauler in the mountains instead. It hit the spot! He’s had his eyes on trailers for quite some time + for one sliver of a second I thought I could pick one out by myself to suprise him on his big day. Joke’s on me. Once reality set it, renting was definitely the best route. Excited for him to pick out the one he wants so we can go all summer long!
This view is one I won’t ever forget.
We had fishing on our family bucket list last spring + went up to the fish farm in Ogden. We had such a blast, but this year, we set out to conquer the real thing. The lake just above Smith + Moorehouse helped solidify fishing as Jonah’s favorite sport. Exact words from his mouth. If we had taken enough food down to the lake to survive, I’m sure we would still be there right now. Not one of them wanted to leave.
Tricky trick trick trickaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, Aunt Mor.
Life sure is sweeter with Jon by my side. Here’s to more mountain time by the lake, creating unforgettable adventures as a family + at least 50 more birthdays! 143, Jonboy.
