Larry H Miller Lexus Lindon asked me to be The Co-Captain at game + I was thrilllled! AS WAS JON, if you can imagine. Aside from my dad —I don’t know many bigger Jazz fans than him. They rolled out the red carpet for us + made it a night we won’t ever forget.

To be totally transparent with you, I was’t sure exactly what to expect as the “Co-Captain”. I knew I would be going down on the floor to shake hands with the players + the refs before the game. They gave us the royal treatment the minute we walked in that door. But what I wasn’t prepared with was a speech at center court on the jumbotron for the captains. Two 20 feet tall athletes looking down at me wasn’t intimidating enough as is. Hahaha it went something like this:

Ref 1 introduces each of us.
Asks me to shake their hands.
Then looks at me + says, “Alright Ginger, give them your pregame pep talk”

………crickets………

“Ummmm. Well. Okay. Hi guys *awkward wave* So, BE NICE??”

Neither Anthony Davis or Rudy Gobert cracked a smile + I wanted to crawl into a hole.  Hahahhaha. But the sweet ref then told them what they were supposed to hear + I am still laughing. They were NOT fans of each other, so they probably needed my speech. Good thing I didn’t even reach their armpits so I could hide under it for the rest of the convo! #facepalm #laughcryemoji #bucketlist

  1. My husband and I LOVE the Utah Jazz! I would take him if I won! Awesome giveaway!!

  2. Not sure how to leave my one reason i feel i should win comment but i really would love to be able to take my husband (the biggest jazz fan i know!) to the game! We had a baby 5 months ago and dont get time to ourselves really and this would be the perfect oppurtunity for us to have a once in a lifetime date! (Since we havent had one in i dont even know how long!) We are huge jazz fans in our house and would love to be able to have an expierence like this!!! 🙂 thanks for your time!

  3. I would take my Husband to this game. His birthday is on April 9th! What a great present I could give to him.

  4. I am one of the biggest Jazz fans you will ever meet. At least a fifth of my closet is Utah attire and every day I carry my Jazz purse with me. It has always been my dream to have court side seats to a Jazz game. I think I would cry if this dream ever came true!

  5. I wanna win this because I been a jazz fan my hole life I love going to games and I would bring my dad he is the reason I love the jazz

  6. Me and my husband are huge jazz fans, and I’m a huge fan of you!! We would love to win this for a date night and for our 11 month anniversary 💕🏀

  7. Lifelong Jazz fan! Through thick and thin I’ve been rooting for the Jazz every year. I’d take my wife, even though she watches SO much basketball with me as it is. She deserves a fun night out.

  8. I would love to win this for my cute hubby that works so hard for me and our boys! 💙

  9. I would love to be able to go to a game this season! And have a couple hours without kids. Hubby and i would love it. Go jazz!!!

  10. Definitely would take my husband Brady. He is the BIGGEST jazz fan!! He is set on naming our first son Stockton!! 😆And he is a huge Rudy fan! He was so excited on draft day when we somehow ended trading for him. We still haven’t gotten to celebrate our anniversary because my husband is a tax accountant and our anniversary falls right in the middle of it. This would be the best way to end tax season!!!

  11. When my wife and I got married 3 years ago she didn’t care about the Jazz. I slowly started watching games with her, telling her stories about all my Jazz memories, and showing her how to yell at the tv. Now she loves them and watches the games even if I’m not there! Rudy is her favorite and meeting him and the rest of the players and coaches would be adream come true. We are having a baby girl in a month who will be Quinn and if the Jazz win it all this year, her middle name will be Snyder!

  12. I want to win and take my little sister (she’s 11) I took her to her first game this year and she immediately fell in love with Rudy she has such a crush and talks about him all the time and keeps asking me to take her to another game. I would love to see her lil face if she met him in person! She would probably cry out of sheer joy or just blush a lot since she thinks he is so dreamy!

  13. I would take my husband! He’s the biggest jazz lover I have ever met! He watches every game – even when we’re walking through the grocery store because I want ice cream! Plus, I love hats and he bought me a jazz baseball cap… I gotta wear it to the game! Hehe

  14. I would take my husband and surprise him of course . He is always surprising me with things so it would be nice to do the surprising . Specially with this since he loves the jazz!

  15. I would take my youngest brother he is a big NBA fan loves basketball wants to one day play professional this would be awesome for him he has had trials through his life but has surpassed it and I think he deserves this more than ever.

  16. I would take my best friend Jared Clavell! We grew up watching every Jazz game and never really had the chance to go to a game due to our circumstances. We used to pretend to relive the games in his backyard and we loved going back to watch the Stockton to Malone days! After serving LDS missions we continue to stay in touch and talk about the Jazz! We have been super excited about this year and being able to have an experience like this together would be a dream come true for us both!

  17. April 12th is my oldest sons birthday. He will be 11. He is the biggest jazz fan I know! He loves them so much and wants to play for them one day! 🙂 He can name so many stats for the jazz. This would be the most amazing dream come true birthday for him!!!

  18. I would love to take my wife for her birthday, which is the 9th. With three little kids at home and both of us working in the healthcare field we don’t get much time to ourselves. She’s a great wife, mother and friend. I would love to win this to share with her.

  19. I would take my fiancé Houston! He is a huge Jazz fan and this experience would be a dream come true! I recently lost my job and have been trying to find something, and he has been working non-stop to help me financially until I am hired somewhere. I would love to be able to give him the night of his life to show my appreciation for all he does for me! ❤️

  20. If I won I would definitely take my husband! But have it be a surprise! Have a nice date night out! And a bonus it’s to a Jazz game. Which we both love to watch. Who wouldn’t want to win? 🏀⛹🏻

  21. I would absolutely love to win these tickets! I’ve been living in Oregon for a couple years and I will be visiting my family in Utah on the 12th! We are all huge Jazz fans and I have missed being able to go to the games. Trailblazer games are definitely not as great as Jazz games. I would try to take my dad to this game. We are trying to build a relationship that was previously not there. Jazz games one of my favorite things to do with him and he loves going to them. It is also his birthday a couple days after that, so that would be an awesome birthday present!

  22. I would definitely take my husband!! He is the biggest fan!! He talks about the players like they’re his home boys and is one of the loudest fans, on the couch and at the court. Because he talks about them so much, our girls think he plays for the Jazz. 😂We happened to be in California a couple weeks ago when they played the Clippers. No way we were going to miss that opportunity to cheer our Jazz on out on the road!

  23. I LOVE the Jazz!!! I would take my best friend, and we would most definitely have the time of our lives!

  24. I would take my husband!! Not only is he the hardest worker I know that deserves to go, but he’s also the biggest die hard jazz fan I know who would do anything just to be at a game. Also, who else names their youngest daughters middle name JAZZ after Utah Jazz! Lol HE DOES!!! So it will be a great experience to remember and see him enjoy it.

  25. I would take my best friend. She’s a massive Jazz fan and she’s getting married in a few weeks, so this would be a perfect last hurrah for the two of us before everything changes!

  26. I’ve been a Jazz fan my whole life, now introducing all my kids to what it’s like to be a Jazz fan. My wife comes from California and has been a Lakers fan her whole life but I have pulled her into the light! I’ve taken her to several Jazz games and now have her asking nightly if there’s a Jazz game. I like to think I had a hand in it but the Jazz organization is such a class act, it’s hard to NOT be a fan! I’d like to take my Laker fan turned Jazz fan wife to this game as my +1 for this awesome experience! I’d love to experience this!

  27. My husband is the biggest Jazz fan! He loves watching them play! I would take him to the game if I won, because he does so much for me and it would be cool to get to take him to do something like this.

  28. My boyfriend loves the jazz and he has been wanting to go to a game all season and this would make him so happy, it would be the best early birthday present ever

  29. I would love a night out! Being a single mother it’s hard to have extra for a night out with a friend.

  30. I would take my husband! We are huge fans and had season tickets last year, but weren’t able to this year… going to the last regular season home game like this would be the perfect date night!

  31. Hello! I want to nominate my super Jazz fan (husband) to be co-captain. He is a big man with a teddy bear like smile but a tough outer shell. He hides his emotions but not his love for the Utah Jazz. We talk frequently, ok he talks and I listen with a smile, to his NBA Jazz dream teams. I slyly play Facebook or Instagram and pretend to be interested in all of his NBA 2K17 accomplishments; with the Jazz of course. And I attempt to understand what he means when he says that they have Gordon playing the 4th man, or whatever. He is absolutely a super fan and I am not a very good super fan sidekick, but I try my hardest! I enter him into every possible Jazz fan contest. And share all of the posts to win tickets to the games. His name is Cooper and I love him very much! Without a doubt he is the guy who deserves this once in a lifetime opportunity!

  32. I don’t have instagram but I would love somehow to enter a dear friend Brian Bitner and his wife. He’s a huge spurs fan, HUGE!!! He’s been struggling with cancer and if he’s well enough this would be a fun outing for him and his wife.

  33. I have loved the jazz all my life, now my daughter is OBSESSED with the jazz, she would literally freak out if she got to meet the players, she talks about it all the time!!

  34. I would love to take my mom to this because she has been the biggest fan for as long as I can remember. We watch every single game, home and away, and try to go to as many games as possible. I think we are the definition of die hard fans 💜

  35. I would love to take my little brother Joey (9 years old)! He is the biggest Jazz fan around, he watches every game (even on school nights), he knows the game like the back of his hand. I haven’t been in able to afford tickets, but he would die to just be there ❤

  36. Please, please pick us!!! I would take my husband….it is our anniversary so this would be the ultimate gift.

  37. I don’t know that I deserve to win these more than anyone else, but any time I get the chance to make my wife smile….count me in! We’re both huge Jazz fans and would love to have the opportunity to have a night out, and one that we’d never forget!
I’m also thinking it might be a good idea to buy an extra Swig cookie and slide it into the referee’s pocket so he’d throw a few more calls out way! Go Jazz!

  38. A few days ago my husband, after spending all day at classes and then at work, bursts through our front door exclaiming “THE JAZZ WON! YEAAAH!!” He then continued on with a “Oh, hi honey! How was your day?” He LOVES the Jazz so I would love to win this opportunity for him.We don’t have cable so we don’t have any sports channels. Because of that this guy spends every game night listening to the commentary online and watching the game hilights over and over again. Don’t worry there is still plenty of time for me even with his Jazz obsession. 😉 We haven’t been to any games this season and this would be the perfect chance for us to go. In just a few weeks we will be celebrating his graduation, his birthday, and our 3 year wedding anniversary! Winning this giveaway would start these celebrations off with a bang by giving us a night out to enjoy each other’s company and by being a part of the Jazz game. This would be the perfect suprise for my husband! I’m crossing my fingers please pick us!!

  39. My 6 year old son and I love the jazz. I would take him with me if I win this wonderful experience.
    Go jazz.

  40. Of course it would be my husband I would take. He’s a huge Jazz fan and he’s made me a huge fan too! I’m also a huge Gigi Pip fan!! Last week we celebrated my husband being 5 years cancer free! It would be awesome to take him on this date to celebrate! Plus we have 4 kids 6 and under so we are in need of a date…..and some Swig. I’m so excited they are at the arena now!!

  41. I would take my friend Sage! We are both big fans and have saved up miney in between paychecks to get nosebleed seat for any game we can. We would love to be able to show of our dance moves and our love for the Jazz in lowerbowl!

  42. April 12th is my wife’s birthday and it would be awesome to surprise her with this awesome gift!

  43. Date night with the prettiest girl i know. Why wouldn’t i want to win this?

  44. My 11 year old nephew is s huge Jazz fan. He watches every game and diligently studies their game stats online. If I took him I’d for sure maintain my “favorite aunt status” for life!

  45. I will want to nominate my grandson for this because he has had a hard life and he gets to see all of his friends that have lower bowl tickets and he can only find 1 game. week on the t.v. He is a very big sports kid and his friends b going to camps and he has to be taught by Jr jazz and his self. His dad been gone for 5 years and his mom does drugs and me and his grandma are taking care of him and his 2 siblings. He could only see his baby brother once a week because he is with his mom. I think this will make him fell better after a sad life, I hope he could win. GO JAZZ

  46. My husband and I are big time Spurs fans born and raised from San Antonio. But since we moved a few players from s.a moved with us. So it’s always a dream to watch them go head to head.

  47. It’s a toss up between Nate or Nixon, I think It would probably be the highlight of nixons life and he would love to show them his dribbling and dunking skills! So awesome

  48. I would send my husband and my son. My husband was born with bilateral clubfoot. This past year we worked hard as a family to raise money so he could get the ExoSym Braces and be able to enjoy life without the pain. He is now able to be the dad he always was on the inside. No pain while walking and able to play 🏀⚾️ or climb the stairs with our family! He loves the jazz! Between him and our boys the house gets quite loud on game day

  49. I would take my hubby of course!! We need a date night sooo bad!! What better way then to see our favorite, the JAZZ!!!

  50. My husband is obsessed with the Jazz and has been asking every game to get tickets and go! Plus, we need a date night. We’ve only had one since having our first baby!

  51. My hubby and I would LOVE to win this! We are HUGE, life long fans. My grandparents are die hard fans and our whole extended family would meet at their house to watch together growing up. We watched the John Stockton shot together crowded in their little family room. There were so many of us, it was standing room only if you were late! I have so many great memories of the Jazz and would love to have this opportunity with my hubby. Go Jazz!!! 🏀 (Insta: inquisitivefox)

  52. I would love to take my husband. BUT I would probably take my almost 8 year old son! He loves basketball so much!! That would be so much fun!🤗

  53. I entered and so hope I win. I don’t want to give a sob story or anything but I do feel I deserve to win so I feel ok with sharing why lol. I have been a Jazz fan for 20 years you can see that through my FB posts on Instagram account. I only ever go to upper bowl because I can’t afford lower (if I am lucky maybe once a year) I have had a rough go the past awhile loosing my aunt to murder (by her own husband * in Utah) , loosing my grandma, my mom attemping suicide ( 2 weeks ago) I wish I making this up but I am not. My stress level is so high that I am getting cancer sores and other physical issues. I just can’t seem to catch a break. You know what they say when it rains it pours. Anyways i just love the jazz and could use a treat and bright light in my life.

  54. It is my husbands birthday tomorrow and he has grown up being a huge Jazz fan! I would love to surprise him with this and before baby #3 comes!! What an amazing and fun opportunity!!

  55. This is amazing!! I would definitely take my hubby. It was our first date and we try and make it back whenever we can!

  56. My name is Stockton, I’m a die hard jazz fan! I would love to win this. I was named after the goat himself (John Stockton) so that speaks for its self. ☺️👏🏼

  57. I’m leaving my one reason why here in case it was what you were looking for. I would love to take my dad to this game. My mom passed away and we haven’t had a father daughter date since. I know it would mean so much to him. Memories are everything in life. Crossing my fingers I win 😍
