Jon + I had a special date night last week at the Jazz game!! They played The Pelicans + we are pretty much stillll smiling! Might be for different reasons….. but still smiling nonetheless! HA! Read on….
Larry H Miller Lexus Lindon asked me to be The Co-Captain at game + I was thrilllled! AS WAS JON, if you can imagine. Aside from my dad —I don’t know many bigger Jazz fans than him. They rolled out the red carpet for us + made it a night we won’t ever forget.
To be totally transparent with you, I was’t sure exactly what to expect as the “Co-Captain”. I knew I would be going down on the floor to shake hands with the players + the refs before the game. They gave us the royal treatment the minute we walked in that door. But what I wasn’t prepared with was a speech at center court on the jumbotron for the captains. Two 20 feet tall athletes looking down at me wasn’t intimidating enough as is. Hahaha it went something like this:
Ref 1 introduces each of us.
Asks me to shake their hands.
Then looks at me + says, “Alright Ginger, give them your pregame pep talk”
………crickets………
“Ummmm. Well. Okay. Hi guys *awkward wave* So, BE NICE??”
Neither Anthony Davis or Rudy Gobert cracked a smile + I wanted to crawl into a hole. Hahahhaha. But the sweet ref then told them what they were supposed to hear + I am still laughing. They were NOT fans of each other, so they probably needed my speech. Good thing I didn’t even reach their armpits so I could hide under it for the rest of the convo! #facepalm #laughcryemoji #bucketlist

Definitely would take my husband Brady. He is the BIGGEST jazz fan!! He is set on naming our first son Stockton!! 😆And he is a huge Rudy fan! He was so excited on draft day when we somehow ended trading for him. We still haven’t gotten to celebrate our anniversary because my husband is a tax accountant and our anniversary falls right in the middle of it. This would be the best way to end tax season!!!
When my wife and I got married 3 years ago she didn’t care about the Jazz. I slowly started watching games with her, telling her stories about all my Jazz memories, and showing her how to yell at the tv. Now she loves them and watches the games even if I’m not there! Rudy is her favorite and meeting him and the rest of the players and coaches would be adream come true. We are having a baby girl in a month who will be Quinn and if the Jazz win it all this year, her middle name will be Snyder!
I want to win and take my little sister (she’s 11) I took her to her first game this year and she immediately fell in love with Rudy she has such a crush and talks about him all the time and keeps asking me to take her to another game. I would take my best friend Jared Clavell! We grew up watching every Jazz game and never really had the chance to go to a game due to our circumstances. We used to pretend to relive the games in his backyard and we loved going back to watch the Stockton to Malone days! After serving LDS missions we continue to stay in touch and talk about the Jazz! We have been super excited about this year and being able to have an experience like this together would be a dream come true for us both!

I would absolutely love to win these tickets! I’ve been living in Oregon for a couple years and I will be visiting my family in Utah on the 12th! We are all huge Jazz fans and I have missed being able to go to the games. Trailblazer games are definitely not as great as Jazz games. I would try to take my dad to this game. We are trying to build a relationship that was previously not there. Jazz games one of my favorite things to do with him and he loves going to them. It is also his birthday a couple days after that, so that would be an awesome birthday present!
I would definitely take my husband!! He is the biggest fan!! He talks about the players like they’re his home boys and is one of the loudest fans, on the couch and at the court. I’ve been a Jazz fan my whole life, now introducing all my kids to what it’s like to be a Jazz fan. My wife comes from California and has been a Lakers fan her whole life but I have pulled her into the light! I’ve taken her to several Jazz games and now have her asking nightly if there’s a Jazz game. We talk frequently, ok he talks and I listen with a smile, to his NBA Jazz dream teams. And I attempt to understand what he means when he says that they have Gordon playing the 4th man, or whatever. A few days ago my husband, after spending all day at classes and then at work, bursts through our front door exclaiming “THE JAZZ WON! YEAAAH!!” He then continued on with a “Oh, hi honey! I would send my husband and my son. My husband was born with bilateral clubfoot. This past year we worked hard as a family to raise money so he could get the ExoSym Braces and be able to enjoy life without the pain. He is now able to be the dad he always was on the inside. I have been a Jazz fan for 20 years you can see that through my FB posts on Instagram account. I only ever go to upper bowl because I can’t afford lower (if I am lucky maybe once a year) I have had a rough go the past awhile loosing my aunt to murder (by her own husband * in Utah) , loosing my grandma, my mom attemping suicide ( 2 weeks ago) I wish I making this up but I am not. My stress level is so high that I am getting cancer sores and other physical issues. I just can’t seem to catch a break. You know what they say when it rains it pours.
