We can’t be on time for church no matter how hard I try.
\nI know it starts in my head. BUT I STILL CAN’T. I HAVE TRIED SO.HARD. SO.MANY.TIMES.
\nWeek after week. Sunday after Sunday. You can count on us for being late.
\nWe were soooooo close this week, but couldn’t quite pull it off.\u00a0

But you know what my sweet neighbor + dear friend said to me as we both sat in the foyer waiting to go in?
\n“Better being late + have happy kids, than be on time + have everyone hating each other.”
\nAND you know what, she is EXACTLY RIGHT! It stuck to my heart with glue. Funny I couldn’t come to the conclusion on my own, but I’m eternally, gratefully, saying A M E N + A M E N!<\/p>\n

So amidst the\u00a0tornado of a Sunday morning, I’m not dreading the\u00a0walk of shame quite like I was before she opened this thought to me.\u00a0I know that we are never alone! Let’s try not to let the insecurities of the world keep us from the true principals of The Gospel.\u00a0They bring me peace. Not being on time or being late. I consider her words of affirmation\u00a0a big fat blessing in disguise. No one else is paying as close attention\u00a0to\u00a0our own image as we are, KNOCK it off GP.<\/p>\n

In other news: the sun is staying up later now, which I both love + don’t love because the kids aren’t buying bed time routine as easily. But it also means Summer is right around the corner — SO bring it on!<\/p>\n
