\nIt’s always fun to be\u00a0home. Home in my\u00a0childhood roots.
\nTo see how the boys faces light up when we hang the last right.
\n<\/span>To smell the homemade cinnamon rolls.
\n<\/span>To hear Bo barking from the pretty brown chair in the\u00a0front room.
\n<\/span>The place where we are always welcomed with a hug
\n<\/span>+ farewelled with tears. This place will always be home to me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nI recently attended a women’s conference\u00a0called Women Of Light.
\nI spoke on a panel with three other friends about prayer.<\/a>
\nBoy, was I\u00a0nervous. I felt inadequate.
\nI\u00a0pleaded for strength\u00a0from my Heavenly Father for weeks.
\nI did my best to get my\u00a0heart where it needed to\u00a0be.
\nThe results didn’t come until I had the microphone in my hand.
\nIt was\u00a0humbling. It was hard. It was raw + I could hardly speak.
\nI felt a Love from above in the most sincerely soul piercing way.
\nGod loves me. God loves you! HE KNOWS us.
\nOur faults, our fears, our strengths, our dreams.
\nI left that retreat a new woman.
\nThese\u00a0spiritual confirmations were a beautiful segue\u00a0to General Conference.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\"conference<\/a><\/p>\n

The boys created\u00a0a couple of\u00a0Creature + Features tees
\n+ wore them so proudly the rest of the time.
\nPretty much\u00a0the coolest thing since sliced bread.
\nFun to watch their personalities really shine through\u00a0their designs.<\/p>\n

I remember General Conference lasting for YEAAARSSSS when I was younger. Speaker after speaker, for two whole days. \ud83d\ude09 But I didn’t want it to end this time around. I believe it has to do with how much spiritual preparation I’ve been doing + where my heart stood. This talk from Elder Holland, Behold Thy Mother,<\/a>\u00a0particularly leaves an impression on\u00a0me time + time again. Always something new that I need to hear! We’ve been spending a bunch of time in the car lately which has been a golden opportunity to re-listen to Conference\u00a0snippets on the road. The counsel is priceless. So very grateful for this sweet family of mine, for our loving Church leaders + for a Prophet who guides our lives today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
