I feel bad + a bit regretful I wasn’t more open about our journey finding this wood stain. IT HAS NOT BEEN A SIMPLE TRIP TO THE PAIN STORE. All caps for more passion. I dunno why I thought it would be? No one also warned me about a lot of things before building a home but it’s late + I need to stop complaining. Basically we spent many uh nights in our apartment garage trying not to get high while we sampled stain after stain on wood piece after wood piece. Our HOA insists (I’m sure I’ll eventually see the light) on us using real natural wood siding. This has been on my mind since we finalized plans with Hyrum. I have an entire saved album of wood ideas on instagram that I constantly brought to meetings. I knew exactly what I didn’t like, especially after it was painted – but couldn’t direct the ship to the right land of what I did like for the life of me. BUT HERE WE ARE. A solid white oak with juuust enough variation + custom white wash of warmth to help me sleep easy from here on out.<\/p>\n
