I like the clean look + how timeless they are. But sometimes without the colors + characters the kids aren&#8217;t as engaged with these toys. We chose to mix 3 sets for longer + more creative play, but if you&#8217;re looking for something more simple you can stick to creating one set at a time. I loved watching use his creativity by making a wood piece be a track, and then use the same track to become the pillar of the post office wall! We got the cars out, started a race &#8211; the pots, had to water them &#8211; the swing, pushed the characters a few times before connecting it to the town.
