instagram + rounded up the questions you submitted:

What is Microblading? Microblading is a semi permanent make up solution for your brows. Each stroke is etched into the skin with fine needles making hair like lines. It’s very natural and can help give you the shape you want on your brows without having to fill them in everyday or being permanent.

How long does it take? Microblading takes about 2 hours for your first time + is only about an hour for your touch up appointment.

How long does it last? Is it permanent? It is a semi permanent solution + can last between 1 to 3 years depending on the person. Skin + skin care routine can both effect it’s length. Mel told me each person’s skin picks up different amounts of pigment. After the first appointment you’ll have a better idea of how well it adheres to yours!

Is it worth the money? I say yes, 100%! I love not having to fill in my brows daily if I don’t want to, or having it be a super quick fill in, because the shape is already there for me! Saves time + money later!

Does it hurt? I got teary eyes the first time, but I could still hold a conversation, sooooo I’d say worth the pain for sure!

Do you still have to wax? If you have hair that grows outside the shape then yes you can wax or tweeze. I use a tinkle razor for the little paeach fuzz + I swear it doesn’t come back nearly as fast!

Is it safe while pregnant? it is best to check with your doctor on this, my guess is no.

What if you don’t like how they turn out? Some fixes may be done in a touch up. But, if it is a fix that can be worked with, it’s suggested not to go to your touch up and they will eventually fade + exfoliate a lot!! Be sure you do your research before!

What was recovery like? Did yours scab? Scabbing and redness can occur 1-2 weeks after the procedure is done. It will take about 1 month for the color to fully set in. It will scab a little, but it’s recommended not to pick.

Does it scar? Usually they suggest waiting 4-6 weeks for a touch up.

What should I look for to find the right person in my town? How do you find someone you trust? make sure you do a lot of research. Ask around, check reviews + do a lot of research on the type of brows they’re doing. Bring in ideas of brows you like + make sure you like the shape before they start.

What is the cost? cost will vary, but on average you will pay around $400-500!

Be sure to check with your salon to see what you should be doing pre and post your microblading session.
