Fitness classes I love + lululemon Shorts

When it comes to workout gear, lululemon has honestly been the “IT PLACE” on my radar for years. You get what you pay for + I’ve been able to  keep my lululemon pieces around for years. I love their meditation journal as well. 

I went into the lululemon store after a movie the other night at Station Park + couldn’t believe how much they’ve stepped up their game with the shorts!!! Like since when? I might live under a rock, but either way I’m stoked. 

LULULEMON SHORTS : 

  • hotty hot short : lululmeon just came out with a longer version + my thirty year old self was stokkkkked. my 16 year old self probs would have gone for the 2.5 – – – something for everyone! I paired it with the BREEZE BY MUSCLE TANK.

size up : i’m wearing a 2, but am regretting not going for a 4

size : i like oversized so i went with a 4 + rolled them down. 

  • on the fly short : the perfect short for wearing around, to the lake/pool, + even hiking. they’re seriously comfffffy. 

size : TTS or size up to be safe. can you see a pattern here? 🙂

Do you enjoy fitness classes? Fitness classes are fun for me. I have a sister who agrees + 2 who do not. 🙂 Either way, I dig the group setting + feel extra motivated when I’m moving as a team. I blame my soccer days (played all of my life) + sincerely enjoy sweating with others. Wanted to share a few of the classes I go to consistently + loooooove. I found a small home grown gym to get a membership that offers lots of variety in classes!


FITNESS CLASSES I ENJOY : 
  • pilates : my friend got me into reformers pilates a few years ago + I was hooked after the first class. I don’t have any close or convienent to my house. There are lots or MAT PILATES classes around, but I’d say if possible find a reformer class if you’re just beginning. 

classes : 3 – 4 times per week

  • yoga : when i’m feeling in a funk + need to get refocused on life + priorities I grab my oils + head to yoga. I love youtube channel’s that walks you through it as well – I like to do a flow before bed to calm down + really reach that zen release to feel confident in living my days to the fullest.

classes : 2 times per week (guided online or in studio)

  • body combat:  the first time I went i sprained my thumb because I didn’t know how to properly punch. who even knewww that was a thing. But talk about emotional release. I’m usually sore for days but I can hang once a week.
  • grit: this is a great cardio option. HIIT where you pushhhh it to the point of no return + basically want to cry. but the classes are short so you know you won’t die. doesn’t sound fun? it’s not. but i always leave feeling on top of the world – COME AT ME, DAY! 🙂
  • SWEAT: I’ve been using Kelsey Wells section of the SWEAT app. I’ve also completed 2 rounds of BBG (all powered through the sweat app) The PWR program has helped me gain muscle + reach stronger goals. BBG is a great one to slim/tone + PWR helps build! Kels taught me how to not look like a doofus in the weight room + her new PWR at home is what I’m most looking forward to in our new home gym.
  • stretching: if you want longer leaner muscles STRETCH!!!!! Especially when you don’t feel like it. I think this is why I became so addicted to pilates, because you’re kind of constantly stretching as you tone + elongate your muscles.

The last few years I’ve really learned that getting my heart rate up, keeps my spirits high. It’s easy to get lost in the thick of the everyday. I like to set my work out clothes out the night before + put them on when I first wake up. Some days I don’t get to the gym until 8:30 PM when Jon can stay home with the boys. I’d love to hear what works for you, or what you love to do to stay active. I’m open ears for new things + new ideas. Always switching things up! Also hoping to dive into more of my daily eating habits with you guys as Jon + I have been intermittent fasting. – is this something you’d be interested in?

WHERE IS YOUR SHOWER CURTAIN FROM? even though I’m stokkkked to get rid of the shower / bath combo that we all share, I have loved our shower curtain. I can tell how much I like something if I’m not eager to swap it out anytime soon. We’ve had this one since our last home + I haven’t found one that has stuck out to me more. Suzie also helped me upholster an ottoman with the same shower curtain! It’s from Target, here is the link!

WHY ARE YOU DRINKING SO MUCH WATER? Thank you ig stranger for calling me grandma legs, you filled my insecure cup a little more. 🙂 JK, kinda. I just have crazy veins + dove into google to try to see why? The sign was dehydration? Super ironic for how much water i drink but whatever. Any other things you’d suggest? Drinking a gallon of water a day + INCREDIBLE Walmart FINDS

Have you been to Walmart lately!? Once Smith’s changed it’s card situation + I can’t use my VISA there anymore, I’ve been spending much more time at Walmart. They have stepped up their fashion game BIG TIME!! I’ve been a fan of this white shirt for a year or so, but have been mind blown by everything else they had to offer. Like legit got 6 outfits + had to spread the goodness because guyssss they’re FIRE EMOJI!

They even carry LEVI’S!!! I snagged these white pants + this denim jacket for wayyyy cheaper than anywhere else. I had actually tried on this same denim jacket at Anthropologie the week before + it was almost $100. At Walmart it was only $41!



this dress is $11 + HAS POCKETS! WHAT?!!! SIZE UP if you want a more oversized breezy feel!
I paired it with the same sneakers + jacket!

If you knew about the goodness of Walmart fashion + didn’t fill me in immma have to wet-willy you next time I see you, because this dress – – – $11. E LE V E N !

I also wore my black blazer (that cost literally $11) to the Roolee store grand opening at the mall + got asked where it was from FOUR TIMES! Every closet needs a fitted black blazer + I dare you to find one that fits good for less than $11! FREAKING WALMART, killllling it. Super stoked about it.

Lasssst but for sure not least, because my love for band tees runs deep + this one was $5. I can’t even buy a waffle with that. It’s from the men’s section + I ordered a small. #walmartdoesitagain

woah that was more of a novel than a quick shopping at walmart post, but still not over the fashion there rn. Seems to good to be true, but it ain’t. NOW LET’S CHAT WATER!

Don’t let that angle fool you, I promise the water bottle isn’t half the size of me! But it is a freaking gallon + I’ve committed to drinking a gallon of water EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. 3 for 3 + a hundred trips to pee. It’s fine!

I made the mistake of googling why I had so many varicose veins bulging out of me rn + it said dehydration. So ordered myself a gallon water bottle before I could blink. If you know me, you know I’ve always drank a ton of water – – – I always have a cup full of ice, cold water. Water totally is my drink of choice.

My top tips for drinking more water:

  • Snag a waterbottle that you can easily carry around or is the full amount of oz you want to drink that day so you can keep track
  • keep a bottle at work, home or in the car if you don’t remember to bring it in.
  • keep it cold, I drink it better if it’s cold – – – extra ice always! We are definitely re-installing a pebble ice machine in our new house. Don’t tell my dentist.
  • add a flavor if you need to. I prefer just straight water, but Jon likes to add a little sugar free flavor + claims it makes all the difference for him
  • WARNING : you will have to pee 4928392 more, so order some hand sanitizer/ get used to public bathrooms being your new BFF.

All signs in my life are pointing to a reset!! I’ve slept horribly, eaten even worse + have been sooo tired. You know where it shows most? My hair. My skin. Under my eyes + my ankles.
