Do you realize what today is? It is December 1, 2011. Which means that 25 days of Christmas in our home begins today! I have only been waiting for 365 days for today to get here. But this year it will be even more special. Little Jonah Jon is here now. Of course he will bump up the excitement a couple hundred notches. Then again, he does that for everything in our lives.
December is my favorite month. It’s placed perfectly into the calendar if you think about it. November you get to be extra thankful for everything that you have been given. Any of you that know me well know about my passion for noticing your blessings and being grateful for them, and the effect that it has on your life. November is the month where my heart and my tummy are the fullest. and THEN we get to roll into….
DECEMBER
I am one happy gal today. The sun is shining. Our tree is glowing and the Forgotten Carols are blasting. Jonah slept from 9 pm to 8 am for the second night in a row, and we are going to meet up with Ky for lunch. What a perfect way to start my favorite month.
Day 1 of our advent calendar will be opened tonight. I hope that it goes as well as I’ve been imaging it to. Jonah also gets to open his first book tonight. I wonder who is more excited, him or daddy.
New traditions are forming. New memories are waiting to be made.
I love this time of year.
