No matter if you have kids or not, it is hard to be stuck at home allllll day, errrrrday. I do believe this is a unique time, a sacred time with our loved ones + I’m leaning into that. We’re competitive + LOVE our game nights. It’s something to do as a family + we’ve especially been looking forward to it the last couple week + play almost nightly.
We love throwing in some of our favorite treats : popcorn, Chex mixes, milkshakes + gummy candies are all things we love.

Rhino Hero Super Battle! It is such a fun game for any age, I’ve played it with college kids and my 4 year old nephews. Highly recommend listening to the Zootopia movie playlist for extra themed fun!

I love seeing pictures, like in post above, of families enjoying special moments together. These moments are the ones we are all going to remember. If you haven’t yet, you should try “The Game.” I know what you might be thinking… but yes, it’s a real game! With a very clever name might I add, that you can order from Target, Amazon, etc.
“The Game” is one of my favorite card games, because everyone playing is on the same team. Instead of competing against each other, you are competing against the game. You either all win (beat the game) or you all lose (the game wins). There is no “every man for himself” mentality, in fact this is the quickest way to lose. Although everyone is working together, “The Game” has been known to cause more arguments than a traditional card game would with my family and friends. Somehow we all seem to get a little more competitive when we have to work together and are not “in control.” 😅
Anyway, you win by playing all the cards in the deck. There are 4 piles (two piles go up from 1, two piles descend from 100) to play every card from the deck onto. And you must play them in numerical order up from 1 (2,3,4…) or down from 100 (99,98,97…) depending on the pile. Each player only has a limited number of cards from the deck (depends on the number of players) in their hand at a time so communication is crucial to your success. It may sound confusing, but it is easy to catch once you start playing.
If you need any other excuses to convince you to put it in your virtual shopping cart, “The Game” is also great for sneaking in some mathematician skills for your kids (probably 8+). In addition to “The Game,” a few of my other favorite games are Azul, Bananagrams, and Nerts (played with regular card decks).
