“The more that you read, the more you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” -Dr Seuss
Quick backstory that triggered this post:
We put the majority of our books in storage when we moved. OR SO I THOUGHT WE DID. But somehow they ended up in the Gigi Pip warehouse? I didn’t know this until I found Jonah’s ultrasound on our kitchen counter. (explained later)
Jon had a few guys helping organize it + had added our big box of books to the Donation pile. His uncle happened to be there + has a new granddaughter so he was stoked to take them home with him.
I asked Jon where the ultrasound came from “oh Luis found it in a book or something?”
WHAAAAT. You better believe I made him go get them back the same night. YES! We indian-gave our entire children’s book collection. Hahaha we will have a full library one day, you mark my words. Even more so now than ever before!
I love to read + one thing I hope to teach my kids is the importance of reading. I add reading onto their daily chore chart.
I didn’t love reading as a teenager + hope to present it in a way to the boys that they don’t feel the same. So as of right now, the books may be silly, short + not even have words at times, but the time we spend together in other places makes my heart soar!
We love reading the Someday Book Co Books as a family. I love how they encourage kids to dream big. We always encourage the boys to be whatever they want when they grow up. It’s fun to see where there answers take them from day to day. If you have big dreamers, you’ll love these books!
