And somehow it’s stillllllll January? 🙃Has this not been the longest January of all time everrrr?
It’s easy to feel like you’re on house arrest during January/February when temps are looooow.
But this year we made it a family goal to get outside – no matter the weather.
Our year of adventure has taken us to the desert + the snow – just this month! Thanks to Backcountry, we have all the gear we need to dominate in rain, snow, hot, cold, high, + low.

We’ve all been stoked about the snowfall this year (it’s been chintzy the past couple of years) + we’ve been making up for lost time.
Snowboarding as a fam is an activity we all love + can do together.
Juan even surprised me for my not-so-dirty 30 (#momlife) + got me some new gear including boots, bindings, + a new board!
I thought for sure I was gonna be corralling little girls as a mom but I can’t complain – this all boy gig I’ve been rocking for the past few years isn’t too shabby! + shredding like the professionals we aren’t has been a dream of mine.
These guys are always up for escaping the house + doing things that I outwardly support + inwardly pray that they don’t break a bone doing.

The outdoors are our happy place.
Getting beyond the hustle, beyond the worry, + getting outside is what makes life colorful. It’s what makes life bearable + it’s what makes me “happy”.
Sounds silly, but this is not just something I say any more, it’s something I believe to my very core. + we’re teaching our boys the same.
