My Guide to Glowing Skin

5 times out of 10 that glow I’m sporting is courtesy of chasing 3 active boys around. Being a #boymom is no joke. But on the other hand, I could chat skin care for daysss. Excited to show you a bit more into my glow to products. 🙂 #seewhatididthere

You’ll notice that most of my ‘glow’ treatments work best either during your skincare routine or intermittently throughout the week. There are a few products that work as I do my makeup, (or when I do my make up) but others that radiant real “glow” has more to do diet + the regime you’re using. You have to take prep your canvas correctly! Just my opinion anyways 🙂  I’ve found that as I’ve worked harder to take care of my skin, the more  natural glow it produces. These are tried + true products that compliment the rest.  With that said, first up – – –

Caudalie Beauty Elixir 

Love this for smoothing + brightening my skin. I get mine at Sephora becasue they also sell the travel size!  keep the smaller travel size on in my make up bag + the bigger one in my make up cabinet. Jon loves when I spray this in the car, he knows I’m almost done with my make up. It’s a plant-based formula that smooths the appearance of fine lines + tightens pores. I use it to set makeup by spraying 3 sprays on my face after I finish my make up.

GlamGlow Instamud 60-Second Pore-Refining Treatment

I’ve made this 60-second mask part of my nighttime routine a couple of nights a week. You only need a pump or two to apply it to your whole face (don’t rub it in). It starts to bubble + tingle. This mask is the perfect weapon for brightening dull skin + tightening pores. Plus, it leaves your skin feeling super soft, which I really love!

Kiehl’s Glow Formula Skin Hydrator

My girl, Bella, (I TRUST EVERY SINGLE THING SHE SHARES ON THE INTERNET) turned me onto Kiehl’s. That girl knows her stuff. Once you give Kiehl’s products a try, you’ll understand why they are in every airport from here on out! You can wear this skin hydrator so many different ways. What sets it apart from other ‘highlighters’ or ‘glow’ formulas is that this is soooo good when you aren’t in the mood for a full face of makeup but still want that ‘inner glow’. I often wear it alone with a little brow gel.

You can also:

• Wear glow formula alone for effortlessly glowing skin by applying a thin layer of Glow Formula on clean skin for an instant radiance boost
• Apply Glow Formula after your favorite moisturizer for replenished hydration
• Wear under foundation for a luminous finish
• Use illuminating moisturizer to brighten + highlight cheeks + nose
• Can be used in the morning for subtly glowing skin

I usually mix it into my moisturizer in the morning + then proceed with my make up. This serum has pomegranate extract which is a super powerful superfood, rich in antioxidants + is known to help improve skin texture + quality while boosting radiance for glowing skin.

This hydrating mist feels refreshing + contains light reflecting properties that will leave your skin looking super glowy! Smells like heaven as well!

I saw one of my favorite beauty guru’s spray this on right before bed, after washing her face! I was like say whaaaa? I tried it + am hooked. You wake up with super glowy, dewy skin! No wonder it’s one of the top recommended ways to wear it!

Dr. Brandt Skincare PoreDermabrasion™ Pore Perfecting Exfoliator

This stuff is GOLD + worth every penny.  what I use to a couple of times a week to help slough off dead skin + even out my skin.

It reduces the look of enlarged pores + mattifies shine while basically making your skin the perfect canvas for makeup! I haven’t done a blog post on this quite yet (I will soon) but this exfoliator is MONEY when applying any self-tanner to your face!

I have drier skin than most so I’m able to use this more frequently but because of the grit, but it’s probs smart to test a patch on your inner arm first if you’re worried about reaction!
