naturally, when i think of mothers day, my thoughts turn to my own mom.
she’s been my favorite example, my mentor, my fashion idol, my everything idol,
and my best friend my entire life.
i look forward to talking to her every day, and dream of the day that we live closer.
she deserves all the credit for anything good i’ve turned out to be.
she’s pulled me through my rough patches and my hard times.
she never gave up on me, and continually encourages me to find the good in every situation.
she taught me honesty, integrity, kindness, and sincerity.
along with many other lessons on how to be a good person.
she taught me how to be a best friend. how to be a mother.
and to her, i am eternally grateful.
when i married jon i was lucky enough to have 2 more wonderful mothers enter my life.
both beautiful, loving, welcoming and kind in every way. they have taken me into their family, as a daughter of their own. i feel so blessed to be part of this wonderful family.
as i look around, i see that so many of the wonderful people in my life are also mothers. many of my friends, my beautiful sisters in law, my neighbors, my precious grandma :: all of which are beautiful examples of what a mother should be. i admire the genuine happiness that motherhood brings to so many of them.
i truly cherish, with all of my heart, the opportunity that i have to be a mother. jonah makes me want to be the very best that i can be. he brings a happiness to my world that i can’t describe, and he gave an entire new meaning to mother’s day this year. what a wonderful opportunity we had to celebrate the beauty of motherhood. happy mothers day to me and to you!
