Then paint “Kilz” on the wooden or concrete floor. It seals the smell. Then put new pad down in the spot, regrow the old pad away. Put the carpet back in place.

No more smell ever!!=)

Pull up carpet and try ceiling the floor or concrete under the rug.
Use a ceilent floor and baseboards….when we finally did that the smell went away.
