The boys have been asking to stop at the peach stand once, sometimes twice a day.
Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow.
The road turn to get there is always inconvenient.
I have successfully talked them out of it since the first day of school.
Now that’s a lot of Tomorrow’s.
I started re-reading “The 4 Agreements” by Don Ruiz the beginning of this week. Have you ever indulged? WARNING: IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! I don’t know how I forgot how much I love it.
The first agreement is:
Be impeccable with your word.
So our “tomorrow” was finally here today!
We were so jazzed.
Felt good to keep my word.
Then, the cute little lady kindly let us know they had stopped selling peaches yesterday.
*GULP*
I’m sure there’s some deep analogy I’m missing here, but this was my blaring reminder to make more time for the small things. The kind lady gave the boys free apples when she realized how sad we were.
Let this be your reminder to not go another day, another second,
without telling your people how much you love them!
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow.
Oh, + eat all the peaches from the Grocery Store
clearly they’ll be out of season soon!
i don’t know where you live exactly, but i think somewhere in UT, right? there is a delicious peach stand in provo that will still have peaches (in the yummiest variety – oh henry) for another 10 days! i called her today to double check after i saw your post because we are planning on making peach pie this weekend! it’s called allred’s orchard on university ave if you’re local!!
We’re in the process of moving to Utah right now, and I’m so sad that all the peaches are going to be gone before we get there!
