My husband and I took the time to not only honor her memory, but also took stock in our kids. We live on the beach in Florida, but hardly go with busy schedules, four kids, and opening a new business. After the scattering of ashes and bougainvillea flowers, all 6 of us ended up fully clothed in the water. No phones, no distractions. Just our family, the beach, and the celebration of a woman who will be missed. I know it may not seem like a huge trek, but for our family it was a much needed memory to make.
