we spent the drive home from grammy and grumpys house quoting the best pick up lines we could think of. j did work. he had more of those things up his sleeve than i have heard in my entire life. who uses these things in real life? he’s such a babe.
after dinner jon recruited jeff and jenson for saturday to transfer the rock wall from our kitchen to the staircase in the garage. that rock wall is famous these days and i know i’m going to miss it. good thing it’s not going far because jonah will live on it one day. i’m lucky that jonboy is such a handy man. i swear he could figure out how to fix anything. what a babe.
grammy aka melanie. aka jon’s mama and my MIL. she has the perfect house. my dream home. it’s stunning. inside and out. i drool over her kitchen cabinets every time we are over there. tonight, she confirmed my desire to remodel our kitchen. ahhhhhhhhh. we are starting saturday. that is less then a week away. colors? patterns? granite? backsplash? appliances? so many choices. she busted out her interior design binders and we pieced together the start of a game plan. i’m thrilled. so excited, a little anxious. and mostly nervous. i’m a horrible decision maker when it comes to drastic change in the decorating world. pillows and table decor i can handle. but when paint and new cabinets are thrown into the picture, i freak out. BUT with her confidence behind me…the sky is the limit. i know that i will love whatever we come up with!!
