BACK TO SCHOOL WE GO

CAN YOU EVEN HANDLE THESE HEARTBREAKERS.

I cannot believe how much they’ve grown up since we moved from SLC. Blows my mind. Having them at the school they will be going to for the rest of time was important to me. But I didn’t realize how premature our move was until things have gone 98% NOT AS PLANNED with our new home. I know it will feel like home eventually, but patience hasn’t always been my strong suit. We still don’t have a hole dug, nor one super soon + here we are starting school. Pretty much in denial against both/alllll  of those things.I read (or heard on a podcast somewhere) that the best time to talk to your kids about their day is right before bed. DING DING DING. I had to legit hold myself back from asking a million questions a minute when I pick Jonah up from school. But I promise, if you can stand it, WAIT UNTIL bed time to ask the questions. That’s when I get all the juice. 🙂

This is our first experience with all day school. Jack says his name over + over. “Jonah! UP!” which translates to can we go pick Jonah up? We don’t live in bus boundries, so we get to wait outside the main door for him to come outside each day + man alive, I live for the reunions.

I get asked where we shop often enough that I thought I’d help round up some outfit inspo for fellow boy mom’s. I crushed hard on Bloomingdale’s back to school options for the boys this year. The kids section is curated so perfectly you won’t have to spend hours scouring the site it’s all so good! I try to invest in quality pieces that we are both excited about so they can walk to the closet in the morning + throw on any mixture of jeans + tee’s + call it a day. It can be hard to judge quality online, but Bloomingdales is trust-worthy. They are my go to stop for QUALITY pieces that will wash (+dry) well all season.

True story, I used to just buy jeans that are small so they would be skinny. But I feel like Bloomingdales has such great descriptions + reviews on their products that you can trust if they say slim fit, the will be slim fit.

I sat down with the boys a few weeks before school started + let them choose their backpack. I love that their personalty shines though.
