My in-laws helped my son buy some new shoes and he came home with spider man light up ones. Something I would never let him even try on. So I may have hid them very high in the closet so he won’t ask for them, ya I know very mean of me!! I always give him options but all the options are ones I have purchased for him.

I guess the spider man shoes will be getting dusted off and returned to their place 🙂 and this mom will do better! Thank you!

I find myself in the same boat too. Always picking very thoughtful clothing, no characters, and things that I like. My kids have never really requested otherwise, but it is a good message to let them be who they want to be!
