Hey Emma,

I told you I would get back to you about the seat on the back. I’m going to copy their reply here for you! Yes, it is safe and sturdy enough. “We have personally tried it with the Yepp Maxi Seat, http://www.yepp.nl/en/product/maxi/ . We actually sold a few on our website and they work great. Let them know that both bicycles come equipped with standard industry mounting points that fit most rear and front racks/accessories in the market, so no matter what brand they chose it should work.” I hope this helps answer your concern with it being sturdy enough! Let me know if you try it out! xx

Aubrey —- AHHHHHH I had no idea!! I’m so glad that you let me know. I was banking on recreating a picture we took last year with our new addition. Guess I’ll have to wait a year. Bummer!! But thank you for the heads up! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xx

Emma — Thank you for leaving such a kind, heartfelt compliment! So thoughtful of you! To answer your question — I’m banking on it! I haven’t tried yet, because we don’t have a seat that attaches right to the bike, but I’m like 90% positive it would be just fine!! Just like any other bike you know? I’ll get back to you in a few months with a firsthand review. I’ve also sent an email over to Brilliant asking them their thoughts! Hope this helps a little, because I don’t have a single complaint about my Mayfair! xx

Question: do you think the Mayfair would feel pretty sturdy with a seat on the back for my little man? He just turned two!
Thanks for the awesome discount code! Also thank you for shining such a beautiful light on families and motherhood. Love it!!

But they are actually going to start construction on it soon and the Barn part of the property will be under construction from June-August, and they won’t be hanging the big flag this year. Bummer!!

Love your family adventures!

Hey Ellie,

Totally valid questions! 18 months + already interested, that’s amazing! She’ll be cruising in no time. Rigg hasn’t shown lots of interest in a bike up until now. (he’s almost 3) He’s had his little scooter that he keeps up on much better for so long. Which is pretty much opposite of Jonah. But the fact that we can lower the seat to exactly his size has been the key I think. He was nervous at first, but it’s his first choice now!! We can’t keep the boys inside for the life of us. I would say 100% yes worth the investment. Jonah did training wheels to no training wheels, so I’ll be curious to see if he will be able to go directly to a regular bike like they say? Stay tuned 🙂

Her balance is great and I’m so excited for her to learn to ride a bike when the time comes. I’m really curious, though, to know how much Roo enjoys his Biddle and if you think it’s truly helping him get the hang of the what riding a bike will be like? In other words, worth the investment?
