A quick #THEPARRISHPLACE window update: I had meetings most of window install day! I was beyond giddy to get over there but the minute I drove into the drive way, I had a pit in my stomach. Somewhere in my journey to find the best windows, I communicated the wrong idea. But was it too late? The were LITERALLY INSTALLING as I pulled up. The window seams to match the thickest part of the window, not the thinnest? I made a huge fuss over our e-gress (exit windows) options that I really have no choice over. They are this way to pass safety code.
Long story short, we are working with our window manufacturer to come up with a plan B + the windows are already being remade for the few spots that this happened on. Guest bedroom + kids bedrooms! Crisis averted. For now. 🙂

Tips + Tricks To Get The Most Out Of Black Friday 2020
As much as I love shopping + hunting down a good deal, I don’t loveeeee the “real Black Friday experience” as some might call it. The thought of getting up early to face the crowds + cold temperatures, is a no go for me . . . it only leaves me feeling anxious as heck. I will always op to stay home + shop online, especially this year with all the capacity restrictions.
I don’t know about you but in years past when the Black Friday deal went live, my anxiety levels went UP. I would have serious FOMO (fear of missing out) on a deal which led to over buy due to the pressure of the moment or on the other hand, wanting to throw up the tinsel all together + call it quits.
With so many deals + special shopping hours that it can overwhelming. So, to keep the joy of the season alive, I want to share a few tips + trick I use when shopping Black Friday sales . . .
1. Shop from your desktop if possible: when I shop off my phone, I feel more pressured to make in the moment purchases because its easier to lose your place or items you have sitting in your cart. When I shop off my desktop, I am able to be more intentional with my $$, since I can save my place + shop later.
2. Shop with intention!! I always have to ask myself 2 questions before hitting the purchase button “do I need this?” + “is this a gift for someone?” if the answer is no, it gets the boot.
3. Make your list before the sales are out: this has been one of the most helpful things for me when shopping, to avoid over spending or shopping. I always sit down a few weeks before + make a list of things I’m looking to snag + the people I am shopping for. I like to think of it like this . . . its like going to the grocery store hungry. When you don’t have a list, you end up buying the whole store because it all looks good in the moment, just to come home + find you already had that item. If I only had to give you one tip for shopping Black Friday, it would be to make your lists ahead of time.
4. Do your research: In addition to who + what I’m shopping for, I like to make a rough outline of where I am going to shop. Below are a few places + favorite deals happening this Black Friday.
GIFT GUIDE FOR MEN 2020
Jon has the best taste. I don’t shop for him 90% of the time. He is simple. Timeless + likes to find things that aren’t “trendy” or brand heavy. He is particular about his clothing items + I love that he does his homework. He reads reviews + always searches for the best price. MADE HIM MAKE THIS LIST of his tried + true faves to help you shop for the men in your life.
GIFT GUIDE FOR KIDS 2020
Finally! THE ULTIMATE GIFT GUIDE FOR KIDS is here!
Gathered together some of the boys favorite things + a few things on their wishlist . . . this year I included a little bit of everything for every age ranges. From building sets, to outdoor equipment, to games, to clothes, its all linked below!
GIFT GUIDE FOR WOMEN 2020
Every year when I make the adult gift guides I crack up 🤣☺️, because instead of asking for the latest + great toys, we find pure joy in getting a new coat or pair of shoes for Christmas. Simple joys I tell you what. This year I stuck with items I own + LOVE. I’ll be adding to this post all month – check back by if you need to drop a hint to someone!
2020 BEAUTY GIFT GUIDE
To say I’m a beauty prouct junkie might be an understatement. I can’t say no to looong walks in Sephora. Beauty products, perfume, facial products all make great presents! In fact, they are my favorite to give! Whether it be for my Mom, sisters, friends, coworkers, you seriously can’t go wrong with something beauty based! Seems most people don’t op to splurge on beauty items for themselves during the year because beauty + hair products tend to be super expensive. (Hence why I keep my hair license active) The holidays are a great time to get something you know they otherwise wouldn’t get for themselves.
If you’re in need of gifts this holiday season, I have listed some of my personal favorite skincare + makeup + hair products below for everyone on your list this year.
